Act 2 begins!

The next update is here! Act 2 of the story begins with drama, and things are only going to get worse for the last human from here on out! This act really focuses on the story - if the human thinks he's seen all the horrors this world has to offer, he's in for a nasty shock. The revelations that come from searching the Blackzones for identity are worse than he could ever imagine.

This is probably my favourite update so far, as it was really fun to write and every major character has a sizable appearance. Plus, tonnes of new art and a chance to play around with audio again! As always, keep the sound on for the best effect! If your saves don't work, just use start a new game and you'll be given the option to skip to any day. You can also fast-skip through the VN by holding CTRL.

New art

Elle has absolutely outdone herself this build with 4 CGs, two new expressions for Mylo and a new major character making their debut!

NSFW Content Toggle

Introduced in the last build, the NSFW content can be switched on or off in the main menu! This won't make the game entirely SFW, as there will still be blurred out dicks and some very horny language, but it's heavily toned down and you won't see any nudity!

Re-writes for Byte

I've never fully been satisfied with Byte's mannerisms, but wasn't sure what direction to take him. For this build, I experimented with making him more of a jaded cynic and found myself enjoying him far more! I went back and edited some of his previous scenes to reflect this. He's still the same character for the most part, but he reacts to the human's interest in Loken more with resigned irritation rather than enthusiasm. It's also allowed for more fun banter between him and Alex! Plus, has a worryingly sensual obsession with data now...  For those who don't want to re-read the the entire story but would like to see Byte's new dialogue, the main altered scenes can be found in Alex's subconscious at the ends of the first, second and third days, plus the first hot spring scene. There are also smaller changes throughout, but I won't list them all here as they're too numerous to count.

Changes to the Indulgence

It's now possible for the human to trigger the first spicy scene with Loken at the Indulgence, in public. Previously, this scene would only occur after the event, when they returned home. The scene itself plays out largely the same, but with a few additional lines thrown in to emphasise the act being public. In order to trigger this scene, you have to take Flare with Loken.

And that's all! I hope you guys enjoy, and I'm really looking forward to the next build already! If you thought the first trip to the Blackzone was unsettling, that was just a gentle warm-up to what's coming! Consider this build the final breath before plunging into the abyss. Build 5 is likely to be a big one. I'm not sure if I'll write it in one block or split it in two yet, but the former means it'll be a longer wait than previously until the next update. I'm going to tentatively predict late August/early September.
