I want to date Byte

(+1)

1 month more of waiting🥹

I was just emotionally devistated by a beautifully raw story. How I'm going to survive until the final chapter I do not know. All I know is that I need these two men to have a happy ending.

Just finished until the last update, I swear this is going better and better althought... No hate but I hope the writter... burn in hell. It's too fucking everything and the plottwist, the gut wrenching moments. Perfection! <3

Tahki i can only imagine them with a huge think souther accent

I. Love. Byte! He is so well written, and will be genuinely sad when he's gone. More so than the last great character intergral to the story we tragically lost. 😢😭😥😓 R. I. P.

Finally got around to reading the latest chapter, and I can still proudly say that this is peak. Fantastic work.

This was probably one of the most enjoyable games I've played, and the story is absolutely phenomenal and so many plot twists I didn't see coming. Easily a 10/10 for me.

Hey I've been playing since build 6, and I've absolutely loved your vn. I've been planning on restarting it once it's fully release, I'm super excited. ☺️

Wow. Just… fucking wow. Reading this made all my emotions fuck each other into a chaotic mess. I didn’t know what the hell to feel. It’s too much, too fucking complex. I feel like I’m having a literary heart attack and orgasm at the same damn time. It's a masterpiece.

Me finished both acts and waiting for updates. I think this nsfw`s warn of game isnt like more about sex-scenese... But gore and mind horror.

This novel impressed me a lot. I can say that I even practiced my English a little with it xD  The story is very interesting, but sometimes it seems to me that it is because of the personal opinion of the main character. Why was there a question about free whill at the beginning, if the player hasn’t chosen anything for the main character, the main character still does it his own way. I see the message that no matter what the main character does, he will come to one point, it’s just that such an illusion of choice is sometimes annoying due to its absence.

The jokes and references in some places made me laugh out loud. Loken's rizz completely knocked me down. No chance to resist this big alpha hound 👁️👄👁️ At the same time, mind horror scenes didn't take me everywhere. These are my peculiarities and a rational assessment of the circumstances.

I'm waiting for updates, no matter what they are. Apathetic or whiny and joyful.

If I were the main character, I would only make two choices for myself - kill myself and let myself be killed; or completely ignore the world around me and live only for my loved one (at the very least, maybe I would have found out why the main character tends to ignore biological processes.. *spoilers* What will main character finds out *spoilers*)

I just finished act 1, and I have no words. It's true that, at first, the art style wasn't appealing to me (not because it's bad by any means, but because I enjoy more cartoonish vn), but I'm baffled at how inmersive this piece of art is.

At first, a was a bit dissapointed that there weren't too much music in it, but the more I was playing, the more I think the lack of music and the well placed sounds are the key points to make it so inmersive. Also, I think it contributes the huge amount of diferrent backgrounds images that makes you feel that you are in the world.

The characters: I love them all. I usually stop playing visual novels if I think the characters are boring or supperficial, but I can't find none of them in here. I normally have a clear favorite character in a visual novel, but here all are so good that it's hard for me to choose-.-

The writting is perfect for my taste: direct and not too much descriptive (which is a flaw I'm struggling with in my own visual novel-.-), so didn't i felt bored at any point, even in the most "silly parts".

[SPOILERS FROM HERE]

The only complaint I have I know it's a picky one but it's something that got me a bit confused, maybe because I didn't catch something because I'm not an english speaker but, if Alex cannot take food, how can he takes medicine? I'm pretty sure at the beginning he took some medicine for his injuries, but maybe I miss understood and he inhales it, or I missed some kind of explanation?

Noneless, 5 stars and I congratulate all the team for this amazing work;D

I don't know how to hide the answer under a spoiler, but the spoiler is the answer as I understood this part.

Alex, as Byte said, does not need food or air, but still partially need breathes, which means he also need eats. He continues to drink water to stay hydrated. Water has minerals etc., so he is essentially eating water. He will only absorb these medicines poorly, but still absorb them. I don't think they will decay in him while he drinks water. There was a moment where Alex swallowed Loken's seed. Byte said to just wash it down to dilute it. Although, nevertheless, in the future Alex will eat the seed again through another hole... Whether he cleaned himself or left everything in himself is not said. 😈😈😈😈

Thanks for the answer:D

(SPOILER)

Still, I think it's confusing.  Even the water part, since water, to be absorbed, need your digestive system to work, but I remember Byte explaining that his digestive system is totally unoperative. The water I can pass it since it doesn't really need much to be absorbed, but medicine? Sure, it might not decay, but it wouldn't be absorbed either, so it would be unneffective. Maybe it's just because I studied biology at some point and I'm a bit picky with this but, as I said, it's really not important with all the good work it's put in in here.

So I just completed this update and waiting for the continuation and man... this VN has made me drop a tear.

This is seriously the best Visual Novel I had read.

Maybe after the story of Soulcreek you'd create more Visual Novels and I'm just gonna be here waiting for it.

A game with the most potential I think I've ever seen. The story is enticing and the sound effects send chills down your body. The only complaint I have is that some dialogues are a bit confusing and there are minor spelling and grammar mistakes. (not loken I know his are intentional). With some relatively small tweaks this game could be one of the all time greats IMO.

This is absolutely, hands down one of the best VNs I have ever read. Honestly, just outright one of the best pieces of media I have ever experienced. The story is exceptional, the artwork and audio are extraordinary, just everything comes together so wonderfully. I adore the characters, I have cried like crazy, I have stayed up late thinking about this world, had dreams of it, it has had an effect on my brain like nothing else in years. To Ryuo and the others involved in this project, I just want you to know this is an outstanding creation, I can't wait to see it through and to follow anything else you do in the future. Thank you for creating something that will have such an impact on my mind and life, It is truly so incredible I doubt I will ever stop thinking about it to some capacity, much like Echo. I wish you nothing but the best, have a lovely day!

"A sci-fi furry visual novel". Honestly I think the level of understatement in this summary should be commended. I signed up to read a furry vn not one of the best cosmic horror stories ever told. Some of the dialogue near the end of that last update had me wondering if I was having a stroke. Dropping major philosophical insights like no one's business.

I'm beyond words, truly. Never have I really felt such palpable dread in a story. The build up is just phenomenal, and the plot twists give what plot twists should: just enough hints to have the reader nearly there, but not truly discovering it.

[SPOILER]

For example: we know there's something going on with Kaius, then it becomes clear he's hiding something -- but we could never guess it was Glitch. And again, we know there's impending doom on the village, and we're prepared for a battle, a slaughter -- but then there is a slaughter, but its from a demon, not an army. Just so much clever subversion, and the emotions all feel so real. I have never been really upset with an MC in media before, you typically sympathize with them even if they go down the villain path, but here I was witnessing MC go insane right alongside all the side cast, and wanting to throttle him. And it was painful being made to watch. Burning bridges. Building some. Burning again.

And then throughout all that, the backbone of this entire thing -- the LORE. The absolute killer atmosphere, mystery, unrepentant horror, and then, oh yeah, just in case you forgot its a furry game -- sex -- but the story is just so well put together. The glimpse we finally got of that demon: perfect. Not forgetting that eldritch monstrosity ya'll got chilling in that lake either. I can't wait to see how everything ties together, and I honestly think we the readers need some victories for our cast in the future. (Please.)

Phenomenal work. Thank you for the experience, I'll definitely be keeping an eye out.

Ah. man. some more remarks. Byte is my favourite handsdown, but I gotta give my props to the rest of the crew. I just love it when a story actually gives you dynamic characters. Shame on you for making Kaius so likeable. Loken honestly deserves better, and I need to save him from his toxic relationship (Loken come with me). Hope to see some more agency from him in the future.  Curious as to whether any more major characters will be introduced seeing as the next chapter will be the last, but, really, I am just hoping for a good wrapping up with everyone we have so far. I'd hate for a certain badger's last conversation with MC to be on such an awful note. And don't get me started on Mylo. (I hope I am remembering these names correctly).

Stunning, stunning. Eating my own hands over here waiting for the wrap up.

A fantastic prelude to the end of the story. Everything works together so well to convey the desperation of the surprise attack, including the fakeout "ending sequence" Byte and MC have each night, it got me good.

If I had to nitpick, Aeyon's "sacrifice" felt a little anticlimactic in the way it's written, it was still very impactul.

I hope the writer can stick the landing with this one, not expecting a conventional ending whatsoever to a story like this, but we'll see.

Thank you for your hard work! It is amazing this content is available for free.

Just finished reading it, and now, I feel depressed

Ok... Just finished chapter 10 and... If I had to describe what I felt reading it with few words I'd say: Trauma. Depression and WHY?

This chapter proves to me, once again, that this VN deserves to be my top 1. Although... Not for the reasons I'd like it to be...

I just find it simply amazing how it menages to make me feel things while reading it. How it menages to meke me so invested in the characters that seeing everithing that happened to them just broke me. I'm legitmatly sick to my stomach right now...

You know when you see it and at the moment you're too in shock to actally process it? Then everythng looks fine untill you stop to think about it. Only then you feel that burning sensation in your eyes and that lump in you throat.

Well... I don't even know what I wanted to say here. Just... Congratulations. This is amazing

Also... F you! How could you do that to him?!?!? Do that to us!? Major character death is one of the most, if not the most, cruel plot devices EVER! (┬┬﹏┬┬)

Not that anyone cares but... I loved to read his dialogs. I gave him Blendin Blandin's voince (The brazilian version one, althogh I think the original one suits him fine too). I just thought he was so funny this way...

If you've read this far, thank you for your time. I wish you a good day. : )

And if anyone is curious to see how it sounds. I'll leave a link to it here.

(I just hope it's not against rules to do so. But since there is a link option here...)

Just finished Chapter 10 of Soulcreek… and if the next one really is the final chapter — I’m not ready. I’m wrecked. I’m amazed. I’m emotionally drained. Author, what have you done to me?! This is a volatile mix of pain, awe, and total immersion.

Now, a bit calmer — and to the point.

I can say with full confidence: Soulcreek is the best furry visual novel I’ve ever read. And I’ve read enough to not say that lightly. Moreover, this isn’t just “great for a furry VN” — it easily holds its own against serious visual novels from indie teams and even some bigger studios.

The story is well-constructed, tense, and coherent. Yes, there are occasional familiar beats and light genre clichés, but they’re minor, well-integrated, and never take you out of the experience. Everything is delivered with such care that it feels like a natural part of the narrative, not lazy writing.

The characters. They feel real. You believe in them. Each one has a backstory, a goal, a motivation. They’re not templates, not cardboard cutouts. You see their pain, their vulnerability, and their strength. The protagonist especially — he’s the cherry on top of this traumatic yet beautiful cake. The portrayal of PTSD is surprisingly accurate and nuanced. It’s not tragedy for the sake of drama — it has depth.

The atmosphere is dense, dark, and suffocating in the best way. The music, the visuals, the pacing — everything works together as a single living organism that either embraces you or strangles you, but always pulls you in.

Any downsides? Only subjective ones: maybe the art style or the pacing of certain scenes won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But those are nitpicks.

If you're looking for a visual novel that isn’t afraid to be deeply, brutally dark — one that’ll have your heart racing from adrenaline and leave you sitting in stunned silence, just wanting to reach out and hug the characters — you’ve found it.

To anyone just starting Soulcreek: I envy you. Enjoy the ride. It’s worth every frame and every line. :D

The latest update had me crying my eyes out. Soulcreek has the best storyline ever.
