Here’s the first build of Soulcreek! It consists of the first three ‘days’ of the story, which is roughly 57k words after having been edited a fair bit! Future builds definitely won’t be quite as long as this one!

Getting this first build out has been a real editing nightmare, as I ended up re-writing the thing far too many times and creating a total mess of the structure! Therefore, the real heroes of the release are the proof-readers who volunteered to give the thing a once over!

• Nicko (who also managed to get through the whole thing in seven hours!)
• Sam (who helped save the opening sequence with some editing! You might be more familiar with Sam’s work on Kingsguard, another awesome FVN with a human protagonist you should totally check out!)
• KoptenOwl (who you can check out here - https://koptenowl.itch.io/. He does a tonne of editing and proof-reading for the FVNs and deserves a medal or two!)

I’ve put in a warning about ‘horror’ as some scenes later in the story will cross into that genre, but I wouldn’t call the VN an out-and-out horror story! It’s more of a straight up sci-fi/fantasy (with a good deal of smut!). That being said, I’m keeping the disclaimer up because we’ll definitely be dipping our toes into the cosmic horror side of things even if we don’t take the full plunge!

As a final note, I genuinely appreciate you for taking the time to download and read Soulcreek, or just giving it a try if it’s not your thing! I’m not ‘new’ to writing but this is my first dabble at coding and I’ve really poured everything I have into this project. It’s been a real learning experience, if a little exhausting at times, and I only hope you enjoy and have fun reading!
