Voidsong

(Voidsong will be released on Friday the 16th of October, 9pm BST!)

Fifteen years after Soulcreek, the story continues...

Illayla stands upon the precipice of extinction. Paralysed by terror from the indomitable darkness within the mountains, ignorance and denial are all that keeps what little sanity that remains from folding inwards. Where hope and evolution dies in a chokehold of stagnation, a looming extinction becomes a crisis none have the courage to heed.

The dreaded virus, the Affliction, tightens its grasp, promising a slow, inexorable decline into starvation and ruin. The few brave enough to address it are silenced with glances that devour the heart. What little Blackrunners remain are scattered and removed, unable to help as the world they’re duty-bound to decipher sits by and rots away.

Salvation lies only with the inimical power of The Last Human. But the feared sorcerer’s promise of a cure died when he disappeared into obscurity. Now it falls to Mylo, the child of Smoke and Flame, to find the human and bring him home.

The reunion of pupil and teacher is fraught with peril, rage and raw power. In their search for hope and home, both must contend not only with one another, but a mysterious curse so far removed from sense and reason that it boils the soul and evaporates flesh.

Within a furnace of rage and love, the fate of a distant empire must be decided.

Nihilis awaits.

Voidsong is an action-horror sci-fi mystery and a generational sequel to Soulcreek.

It is a kinetic visual novel that has one story branch, with two optional romance subplots that add to or change some scenes without drastically altering the plot.

Following in the footsteps of Mylo, learn the greater secrets of the world after the devastating events of the Cascade as he battles with his personal trauma.

Do I have to read Soulcreek before trying Voidsong?

No! Having read Soulcreek will, of course, give you the greater context of the world and the characters, but Voidsong is a different story that can be read in isolation. There is a also a Soulcreek recap in the main menu that will give new readers essential context so you won't go in blind.

Do I have to engage with the explicit content?

No! Voidsong has a m/m and m/f romantic option that Mylo can choose, but you can also choose to opt out of both options entirely. Whatever choice you make, the overall plot will not be changed.

NSFW images can be toggled on or off in the options menu.

What is Voidsong's release format?

The story will be released incrementally in chapters. Each chapter will contain roughly between 20k/30k words. Patreon subscribers can gain access to an extra chapter ahead of the public release.
